SIMPROCESS Documentation

SIMPROCESS is supported by the following documentation

Getting Started:
SIMPROCESS Getting Started Manual (PDF, 3.67 MB) - The Getting Started With SIMPROCESS manual is a must for first time SIMPROCESS users. This manual can also be used for evaluation purposes. Chapter 1 provides an overview of Process Modeling and Analysis and the SIMPROCESS product. Chapter 2 provides system requirements and installation instructions. Chapters 3 and 4 of the Getting Started With SIMPROCESS manual provide a tutorial, and Chapter 5 provides a description of the demonstration and reference models.
Building Your First SIMPROCESS Model (Robo Flash Demo) -

Users Manual:
SIMPROCESS Users Manual (PDF, 20.76 MB) - The User’s Manual can be opened directly from the Help/SIMPROCESS Manuals menu. It is divided into three parts. Part A is an excellent reference for beginners and casual users. This part contains detailed documentation of the basic and intermediate functions of SIMPROCESS.   Part B is a reference intended for advanced users of SIMPROCESS. This part contains detailed documentation of the programming and library management functions in SIMPROCESS Professional Edition.  Part C describes the integrated statistical tools included with SIMPROCESS Professional.

SIMPROCESS TimeServer (PDF, 227KB)
SIMPROCESS® models now have the ability to let an outside agent manage the advancement of simulation time. That agent is the SIMPROCESS TimeServer. This document describes the TimeServer application and its operational concept, the included TimeServerMonitor application, and the technical information needed by developers to help applications other than SIMPROCESS take advantage of the TimeServer.

SIMPROCESS Expression Demo Models (PDF, 106KB)
The ExpressionDemos directory includes a number of SIMPROCESS models that demonstrate one or more of the SIMPROCESS Expression Language features.  This document describes many of these demo models.
SIMPROCESS And Dispatcher (PDF, 206KB)
SIMPROCESS® has a proven track record in its role as a modeling and simulation tool.  More and more often, however, it’s useful to be able to call on simulation capabilities and use the results to make automated business decisions. SIMPROCESS can now provide that capability through the DispatcherService, a Web service that can be deployed in a Web Container (an application supporting the Java Servlet Specification) or Application Server, and the SIMPROCESS Dispatcher. This document provides details on the components required to use this capability.
Metadata Manual (PDF, 4.86 MB)
The Metadata Manual describes how to build and edit SIMPROCESS metamodels, assign metamodels to a SIMPROCESS model, and enter metadata in a SIMPROCESS model.
SIMPROCESS OrgModel Manual (PDF, 1.13MB)
The OrgModel Manual describes how to build and edit SIMPROCESS Organization and Resource Models (OrgModels) and assign OrgModels to a SIMPROCESS model.
BPMN Library Import Instructions (PDF,14KB)
The SIMPROCESS installer provides a Library containing several Process and Activity templates which can be used to support Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) in models. The BPMN Library Import Instructions describe two ways to place these items into your SIMPROCESS environment.
